What Is The Best Age For A Newborn Session?
This is a question that I get most often when asked about newborn sessions. “When should we book our newborn photos?” And “When is the best age for a newborn session?”.

When do I need to book newborn photos?
Some mother’s book as soon as they know and are excited for their due date. Others like to wait till the last couple of weeks of their pregnancy. Whatever you decide, just make sure that you do it in enough advance so that you are sure to get the photographer of your dreams and that they have spots open to do your newborn session. Babies are only this tiny once so make sure you consider everything carefully.
Ideally you want to shoot for anywhere between being 5-21 days new. Because when they are this brand new they tend to be very cuddly, still flexible and not to mention super sleepy! And honestly, the sleepier the better!!
I recommend feeding baby right before photos so that you can send baby off into milk drunk dreamland for the duration of the session! Making an easier and quicker time for all parties involved!
Sometimes we will still get some non-sleepers but those still make for some pretty adorable photos!
